Montalvo

I saw the mention of Montalvo and realized I hadn't done a Montalvo hike in ages. The last time I was there I was surprised to see no cache's listed! This is no longer a problem and we found four today. We would have cleaned it out (well, with the one exception everyone is making) if not for the onset of darkness.

 

But that's not why I posted. It turns out the hardest part of this day of caching is LOGGING the caches on the website. I keep timing out, getting error messages and server too busy messages. Is this just me or an ongoing problem? Is the traffic getting too high for the infrastructure?

I logged my 41 finds and 4 TBs more or less ok. remember that if you get a 'server busy' error, you can wait and just refresh/resend that page and what you typed gets resent. ie, don't close that page, keep resending it until it takes.

 

afa montalvo goes, the only explanation for not finding it that I can come up with is possible bad coords - my gekko has been ornery lately. I'll try to get out and look at that soon. The search area is between the toe of the switchback and the first set of trees. cammo is involved. please take a reading if you do find it, tks.
