Slatz
Is it customary to report a cache find and how do you do it? Quote Link to comment
+Jamie Z
Yup! Logging your finds online is one of the great pleasures of geocaching. You get to tell everyone how you found the cache (or didn't, if that's the case) and the cache owner gets the enjoyment of knowing how much someone appreciated their cache. To do it, go to the cache page of the cache you found. If you are logged in (make sure you are logged in) you'll see this button in the upper right corner. Click it. That will bring you to the page where you can recount your adventure. When you post the log, it shows up on the cache page with everyone else's logs. +Donnacha
Most people would log the cache on geocaching.com when found. Make sure you're logged in. From the homepage click on "hide and seek a cache". From here you can search for the cache page by waypoint or name of cache (search by keyword). When on the cache page click on "log your visit" on the top right. Now all you have to do if fill in what you want to say! I am not overly concerned Quote Link to comment
