Gpx For Individual Cache

As a premium member, I have elected to have .gpx files for the 200 caches nearest my house (Palo Alto) and the 100 nearest a caching partner's house (Los Gatos). Once in a while, I get interested in a cache that is just a bit further from home and does not show up on the list. So, I find the cache on the web and ask for a download of it's data. All that comes is a .loc file; I am not given the opportunity to get a .gpx. It would be very nice is Premium Members had the choice to get a .gpx for an individual cache.

With the recent improvements to the pocket query generator, this one's a snap.

 

1. Go to your pocket query page. You'll need to have an open query request for that day.

 

2. Select the current day for the query to run, and check the "only run once" box.

 

3. Enter "1" in the box for "Show me X number of caches"

 

4. Enter the waypoint name ("GC1234") in the box under "From Origin"

 

5. Request GPX for the output format.

 

A GPX file for that one cache should appear immediately. It just did for me when I tested the above instructions.
