Guest ErnieB
Just letting my mind wander a bit - Has there been any caches placed at Confluence locations? Quote Link to comment
Guest GeoForse
I don't remember where, but I do recall seeing at least one somewhere. I think mid-east or mid-west U.S. Quote Link to comment
Guest ClayJar
I haven't seen any myself, but I've heard about a few confluence geocaches. We have a cache here in Louisiana that's not much over a crow-mile from a confluence (it's a couple miles driving around to the other side to get to the confluence). Quote Link to comment
Guest guerroloco
There's at least one in Missouri: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=56 Quote Link to comment
Guest Markwell
Well, if you're talking "close" I'm sure there's a lot. We've got on in Chicago that is 1.88 GPS Miles from N42° W088° - and the cache needs a row boat to get to it! But I think we're looking for actual caches at actual confluences, like the one in MO. Guest Growley
There is one in North Carolina at N35 W077 Quote Link to comment
Guest makaio
There are plenty, actually. Dave Ulmer (the founder of the game) had one planted directly on a confluence here in Oregon. It was one of his first few caches placed in the summer of 2000. It was called "First Divine" http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=16 It has since been removed. Quote Link to comment

Guest Markwell
Geographical Oddity in Wisconsin. Jeremy (or another person with access to the full data) might be able to query this quicker than we can. After all, just in the Eastern US, I think there's over 256 Confluences. Quote Link to comment
Guest Hawk-eye
There's one in Virginia called the "Elvis Confluence" ... we found it first and it's been sitting all alone on top of its own mountain ... one attempt by another team but no go. Quote Link to comment

Deer Flat is a log book only divine geocache and Kekerengu Confluence is a divine virutal cache. I have included links in each of their cache reports to the appropriate pages in the Degree Confluence Project. Cheers, Donovan. Quote Link to comment
Guest bunkerdave
There are 3 in Utah. Check out: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=5013 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=2422 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=871 I have visited the last one. Out here, the confluences tend to be pretty isolated. Quote Link to comment
