Guest Peter Scholtz Posted May 4, 2001 I tried to hide a micro cache yesterday in the Cape Town city gardens. But after capturing numerous waypoints and averaging them and then trying to find the cache I realised that the trees are causing to much of a drift in the location to make it findable, and had to abort. Any ideas on CBD caches? I guess a long street between tall buildings will give at least two satellites? I like the idea of urban caches ... ------------------ Peter Scholtz www.biometrics.co.za Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest cache_ninja Posted May 6, 2001 we have quite a bunch of caches in NYC, but most of them by the water/river or in parks. buildings can be a problem, but it really depends on time of day and where the satellites are, I've gotten ok reception in a spot with dense skyscrapers one day, then no reception there another day....
