Guest makaio
Chad & Brad (Team Exocet) did something like this last spring. They burned CD's with similar (possibly some of the same) songs and placed them in caches as a Geocaching Mix. Unsure how many they did, but I've got one in my possession which contains the following songs... Patch the Pirate - The Treasure Hunt Begins Cool and the Gang - North, East, South, West Dave Matthews Band - Satellite (Live at Luther) Lou Reed, The Velvet Underground - Satellite of Love Bjork - Hunter Elliot Smith - Satellite Shasta & Digweed, 0 Degrees North - Satellite Serenade Anamaniacs - The Geography Song Joshua Redman - Hide and Seek U2 - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For Family (Roger Chapman) - Holding the Compass Building42 - CBC Radio Story, DNTO opera.cbc.ca (4/15/01) Sister Hazel - We'll Find It Strunz and Farah - Confluence Aesop Rocks - Coordinates Sherlock Hemlock - X Marks the Spot Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - X Marks the Spot Alana Davis - Can't Find My Way Home MeatPuppets - Commin' Down From the Mountain Quote Link to comment

Guest arffer
I'm pretty sure that Markwell also did this, and placed CDs in area caches. A couple were donated by him to our SouthEast Wisconsin Geocache picnic last August as raffle prizes. My wife and I tried so hard to snag a copy at the picnic, but the raffle tickets did not comply. Bummer... All of you that created music-to-cache-by CDs have a great idea. ------------------ Team CacheCows of Wisconsin Quote Link to comment
Guest Show Me The Cache
When I'm out alone on a geoquest in a quiet place, the three songs that play repeatedly in my internal jukebox are THE SEEKER by the Who (They call me the seeker, I've been searching low and high, I won't get to get what I'm after, Till the day I die) and HOW by Lennon from the Imagine album (How can I go forward when I don't know which way I'm facing? How can I go forward when I don't know which way to turn? How can I go forward into something I'm not sure of? Oh no, oh no) and U2's I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR. Not me..... I only went on one night time cache.....my first cache ever and coincidentally (?) the cache was disbanded a day of 2 later.... and no one had gone there in between. What happens to all those "where's George" dollar bills in a case like that, anyway? It just happens to be fresh in my mind because I picked up the CD River of Dreams from a Geocache in Hillsboro yesterday. I was really irritated I had taken it until THAT song come on. I turned it up really loud with the "sun" roof open (it's Oregon--it was sprinkling) and sang along trying to ignore that I had fallen in a hole, my knees were bleeding and I was shaken up by walking in a wetlands sanctuary which had given me that "Jurassic Park" feeling....... but, never mind. My stories can't compare with reading an OREGONE log or even the string under NORTHWEST that maps-r-us posted. Quote Link to comment

Guest Markwell
Heheheh. No. Reconstruction is complete, with a new computer. First cuts are going in caches around the Chicago area soon - with some remote placements. I was able to add four appropriate tracks as well, with a new "section," beefing up the play time to 18 tracks at 1:12 instead of 14 tracks at 0:59. Now the album is as follows: -------------------- Celebrating the Release of Selective Availability Fanfare for the Common Man (Copeland) Hiding the Cache Hall of the Mountain King from Peer Gynt (Grieg) Heading Out on the Hunt *Morning from Peer Gynt (Grieg) *Sunday, the 7th Day (Chip Davis) *Children's March (E.F. Guest nickgenes
Not to keep you hanging, JAMCC47, I did a quick web search and found the singer of your tune there. My first hunch was Willy Nelson (like "On the Road Again", part 2) but the real answer also made a lot of sense. One of his other songs, "Turn the Page", might also fit in with geocaching.
