Guest Hamster
Hey Folks, I just recently got the GPS V, and am trying to figure out how to use it in Geocaching. So far I've only used it in the car. I'm guessing that when I am on foot and off road, I do FIND... then GOTO... then OFF ROAD, and then the pointer shows up. However, I'm trying to figure out how to get the bearing (in degrees) to show up. I set the bearing field to show, but its just showing me N as the direction. not 0 or 360 like I'm used to from my Mag 315 or Etrex. Anyone got any ideas? Please let me know. Quote Link to comment
Guest Hamster
Think I might have found my own answer. Menu -> Units -> Heading Display -> Degrees Quote Link to comment

Guest Olar
Hamster in case you have not noticed, there is now an upgrade download for the V on garmins website. One of the changes is when navigating off-road the unit will automatically turn off the lock on road feature. I'm not sure that effected hunting a cache or not but it must have been added for some reason. Cheers, Olar Quote Link to comment
