Us 5 Camp
Hopefully this post is a matter of my ignorance and I can learn my way out of this quandry.... 1) I am a newbie owner of a map 76s & topo 2) I would like to load the following Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) campsite data file (sa4, street atlas format) into topo. 3) I noticed G7toWin can open Street Atlas files (which it did) and convert to Garmin waypoint file (wpt) (which it apparently did) 4) I cannot import the .wpt file into Mapsource topo. It says there my be incorrect hemispherical data starting on line 10...??? 5) I was able to successfully (almost intermittently) download a few waypoints from this BWCA data directly into the gpsr from G7toWin. Any pointers on this problem? Any pointers on Waypoint management software or techniques in general? I have to admit; it kinda sux to spend this amount of mulla only to have to use 'shareware' type utilities like G7 or EasyGPS...??? What's the best way to manage waypoint data??? HELP... There's a Boundary Waters data file at Topo!'s MapXchange. I was able to import that .tpg file directly into ExpertGPS. http://maps.nationalgeographic.com/topo/file.cfm?fileid=36 http://www.expertgps.com/ -- Dan Foster TopoGrafix: GPS Software, Waypoints, and Maps http://www.topografix.com/ Quote Link to comment
