Geoflagging in Utah

The registration cache is in Orem, and the playing field includes caches within 20 mi of that cache. That limits it pretty effectively to Utah County, so it might be a little tough to play from Brigham City.

The game is to get both of the opposing team's flags in your own "home cache" at the same time, before they get both of yours. There are some other things that might make that a little more interesting, but that's the gist.

Perhaps the person running this will do games elsewhere in the state, or someone else could do one in your area. We are still waiting for the slots to fill up.

Thanks for the info. Bunkerdave is right though, being in Brighm, I'm just too far away to join in the fun on this one. Perhaps in the future.

Ramblin Rover:

We're excited that you've expressed interest in the game. It was designed with several objectives in mind. We wanted to add a new, more dynamic and fast-paced dimension to the idea of Geocaching. Furthermore, we wanted to intensify and heighten the level of game play by encouraging the placement of more difficult, more challenging caches. To this end, we hid the registration cache in a slightly more difficult area, complexed with a partially devious hiding method. All this said, I think some cachers have been discouraged who normally would have enjoyed the game.

As to the rest of your inquiry, we plan on supporting others by helping them start games of similar caliber and direction. Instead of starting two or three games right at the beginning, we plan on using this 'beta' game to help refine the rules and intent of the game. Although a great deal of thought and planning went into the development of the game, we acknowledge there may be some glitches. Please stay in contact, we'd love to help you put a game up in the North.
