+JoeyBob
Okay, there is a lot of interest in this. A few quick questions: do we want to have an informal meeting first, and then set up an event cache? Or do we go for the event cache first- JeffersonStone and I have some ideas from events we have been to. If we have an informal meeting- weekday, or weekend? Post away, I want input. Let's get this thing rolling! JoeyBob- one of the infamous "tv guys" Quote Link to comment
GeoJoeyBob
Weekends are good for me...and possibly evening which would kinda negate any caching unless done in the dark....I'm game and I hope the rest of you local cachers pop up. Quote Link to comment
+Number 6
I'm interested in an informal meeting and have an idea for a location to be posted as coordinates if you would like to do it that way. Be Seeing You! Quote Link to comment
JeffersonStone
Yes, I've found the prefect cache meeting spot. The coords: N35* 45.304' W078* 44.539'. Just a few hints: This place is happening and was really crazy during the hockey playoffs. You can get it ice cold or room temp here. If you're hungry, some wings or a burger may tempt your taste buds. If not your forte, you may have a bagel next door at Panera Bread or a tasty cajun meal at Copeland's. I'm up for about any night. Thursday nights are a good one for me, and most weekends also. If I need to get this party started, I've been known to throw down at a moment's notice. Just kidding, but I'm ready! GeoJoeyBob
hehehehe....that's because I don't know Cary that well....BTW I will be available in the evenings for this and next week....I will be available only for weekends after July 8....maybe we can go cache and shoot off fireworks....????????July 4 is coming up....later Quote Link to comment
+Number 6
That's probably the one I'm marching to. I was thinking in a different box and different specs - N35* 50.375' W78* 46.935 mid-morning on a Saturday. Be Seeing You! Quote Link to comment
+JoeyBob
Looks like an informal meeting is taking the lead. Now let's start talking dates. Is anybody going to be in town on July 6th, or should we try for another date? How about the morning of July 6th, and then perhaps an informal caching expedition? Perhaps that crafty JeffersonStone has an idea for a one time cache for after the meeting- Quote Link to comment

Glockster34
That's a good date for me, a meeting in the morning would give us more time later to hunt for a cache. Any idea how many cachers we're talking about? Quote Link to comment
GeoJoeyBob
You're talking Saturday July 6 which works for me. Where are we going to meet is the next thing. Quote Link to comment
JeffersonStone
Next Saturday morning looks like a good day. As far as a cache, someone can decide that, but I think we should go ahead and go with that date since alteast 4 of us can make it. Remember, big things start small. However, the more, the merrier. I'm ready. I don't what else to say, so I'm out. Quote Link to comment
+Number 6
. . . now we need to agree on where and what time. Just to keep this moving, I suggest: 7/6 at 10:00am N35* 50.375' W78* 46.935 Be Seeing You! Quote Link to comment
GeoJoeyBob
WHAT LOCATION....I know number9 has put one out but has anyone else got any ideas....or we can go with his or what not.... Quote Link to comment
JeffersonStone
From the looks of those coords, it looks to be somewhere near Lake Crabtree. I'm game for that spot. All in favor, post a "I'm game" for a 10am meeting at Lake Crabtree. Quote Link to comment
GeoJoeyBob
I haven't explored the outdoors that much in Wake county in my whole life.....HELP Quote Link to comment
+Number 6
The coordinates are indeed the East end of Lake Crabtree. It's one of my favorite jumping off points for a variety of trails. You may think you're about to get bushwacked getting there, but I think everyone would enjoy it as much as I do. Be Seeing You! Quote Link to comment
+JoeyBob
I will go post the meeting. JoeyBob Quote Link to comment
