Upload of GWZ file to Wherigo.com

Recommended Posts

Good day,

I have build and tested a Wherigo and created the GWZ package using Urwigo.
When I try to create the Wherigo on Wherigo.com, I try to upload this to the Wherigo.com page via http://www.Wherigo.com/cartridge/upload.aspx page but I get below error.

Error Occured
System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) at Wherigo.GSPCartridgeService.CartridgeService.UploadGWZ(String cartridgeFileName, Byte[] cartridgeFile, Guid id, Int64 ownerId) at cartridge_upload.BtnUpload_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Does anybody have experience with problems uploading GWZ files and tips how to correct?
Is there a max size? max numer of zones? max picture size?
Is the upload indeed creating the Wherigo on their website? I would have expected the creation process would be: 1st make a page with description, then upload the cartridges (for pocket pc and oregon etc, then 'publish' it. But the creation page seems to be included in the upload process?

Kind regards
Frank

I guess the file was too big. I reduced all the pricture and replaced them in the cartridge. then created a new gwz and uploaded same. That did the trick.
