This would include the Tidewater and Peninsula areas and anyone else who may travel to those areas to find caches (NC, Richmond) Once we get the email-group started, then it will be easier for Hampton Roads cachers to plan events and/or make announcements that pertain to the local area. I'm sure we will also have some "chatter" about caching experiences in our area, but I don't expect this list to be one where you end up with 25 emails in your box each day, so don't let that concern you from signing up! I am also planning to launch a Hot Potato travel bug for a little friendly competition between the Tidewater and Peninsula regions. One thing is, if you do wish to join and you don't already have a Yahoo ID, you will need to create one. When you create one, they will ask for all kinds of information. You don't necessarily have to put in the real information If you already have a Yahoo Group ID, just follow the link. Click to subscribe to Geocaching-HamptonRoadsVA This email group is for geocachers in the Hampton Roads VA area, including both the Peninsula and the Tidewater regions and anyone else who might regularly come to these areas to search for geocaches. This group is meant to discuss the topic of local Geocaching, as well as plan get-togethers and other caching related activities. Feel free to post and share with other local geocachers your experiences finding caches, your travel bugs, favorite sites, and future events, and have fun getting to know other cachers in the area!
