For a lot of people, notifications are the main reason for going Premium Member.

 

FTF requires the ability to drop everything and race out immediately. Even then, you can get beat out by someone faster or closer.

 

It's also a way to meet other cachers.

 

Remember...you're not the only one who has the notifications set up for your area.

Depends on the area. A busy area with a lot of cachers, you may only have minutes. Around here, it's not uncommon for a couple of days to go by before the FTF. A week is not unheard of.
