+maxter86
Greetings, just purchased a Garmin 62s and liking it so far. I copied one of my queries to the GPX folder on the unit. The geocache icons appear on the map display of the 62s but I can't find a way to show the corresponding GC code or cache name associated with each icon. Is this by design? The cache labels will show when I load the gpx with BaseCamp, thx. Quote Link to comment
+BadJeep
Do you mean that while looking at the map you want the names to appear? I think the names will only appear while you click the Find button and choose the Geocache, then the file names should show up. I just got a new 60stc today so I may not be correct. Yes.. geocache names beside each icon in Map view. Regular waypoints will show the names so it appears geocaches are handled differently. Quote Link to comment
+Timpat
Geocaches do Not display with names or GC codes on the 62s, but, if you hover the pointer over a cache icon on the map page, it will list the cache info at the top. It gives the name (in my case), the dif/ter, and icon for cache size. Quote Link to comment
