Needs Maintenance

I am new to Geocaching and found a cache which had obviously been badly muggled. I tidied up best I could and logged a Maintenance Needed on line.

My question is - although I found the cache, it doesn't seem to show up as "Found" on my profile. Have I done something wrong?

Needs Maintenance and Found It are separate logs. You can log one, or the other, or both.

 

For example, if I return to a cache that I've found before and notice a problem, I'll log Needs Maintenance, but I won't log Found It again.

 

Or if I find the cache and notice a problem, I'll log both.

 

And of course, the most common situation would hopefully be to log Found It without logging Needs Maintenance.

Logging that a cache needs maintenance is separate from the find. You need to log a "found it" too.

There's loads of nanos around here and the most common problem is no more room on the log book. So I usually log it as found, then I log it as needs maint afterwards with what was wrong.
