subiecache
I am purchasing ipod touches 4th gen for my PE classes to use. I will be using many apps from the devices, but also want to utilize them for a GPS function. I found a few options. Dual xgps251 is a cradle that would attach to the iPod. It is a car device, but can be used independent of the car. The downside of this is that the device with the cradle atttached, would not fit in the armband the students will wear. The other is the Bad Elf Pro, a Bluetooth GPS device specifically made for apple stuff. It would connect 5 devices at a time, but Bluetooth only works for about 30 feet from the unit. As students spread out, that could pose a problem. Does anyone have some insight into either of these products and the dilemma I am faced with? I am about to buy one of each and try it out myself to come up with a solution! I wish the iPod 5 would have come out with GPS. Quote Link to comment
