+GC-Files
Hey Cachers, I got an email today saying that I have to remove my cache from the Mines of Spain in Dubuque because a permit is required to place a cache. There is also a rule that March 31st of every year caches that HAVE been approved previously must be removed. This is a shame as there are some good caches out there that have been around quite a while. I spoke with the park office at 563-556-0620. He said he is willing to work with us if the placement is approved. If you have any caches there I suggest that you contact the office. Edited May 4, 2012 by WantMy$2 Quote Link to comment
+ByronForestPreserve
I was thinking of hitting that area this weekend...maybe I'll wait and see how that turns out. Hm, or find them while I can? Quote Link to comment
+GC-Files
I'm thinking about adding smilies before they are gone myself. Quote Link to comment
+ByronForestPreserve
Done! Well, partly. I found five, including one of yours. It'd be a shame if these caches have to leave. I'd never been there before; cool area. Did you think about PMing the other COs to make sure they know about it? The DNR here in Illinois also requires permits, but they don't seem to actually keep track of caches that don't have them. Quote Link to comment
