+snapshot7
Hello, I just purchased a 1000th find Achievement Geocoin for my friend and I was wondering what the second blank spot is for? I know one is for the trackable code, is the other for a special message? I also noticed when ordering GS gave an option for "Special Instructions", is that so I can them stamp a custom name in the blank spot of the coin or is it just for shipping purposes? +Azure Sky
Yes, the blank spot on the coin is for custom engraving - usually for a small added cost, of course. You can have names, cache names, GC numbers, dates, or any personalization added to the coin. When I had a coin specially engraved, I used the special instructions section of the order for just this type of info. Hope this helps! Quote Link to comment

+LadyBee4T
I also bought one for a friend and took it to a local trophy shop. They engraved it with her caching name, date and gc# of the milestone. It makes a great gift. Quote Link to comment
+snapshot7
I noticed when purchasing the coin on Groundspeak there was no option stating they do custom engraves, so I just emailed GS and ask them if they can do it. I'm just a little worried that it's too late because I bought it before asking them about the engraving details. I should receive a response Monday and we'll see what they say. But like the above post said, I could always take it to a shop and have it done there. Quote Link to comment
