seahonk Posted February 12, 2011 Share Posted February 12, 2011 ok i had this gps for a while -magellan explorist 500 and i realy want to start to use all its features on my pc which i tryed on both my pc's that run windows xp and vista , i cant get anything to connect to my gps besides adding a gps cord , i was on a fishing web site and some one posted there gps track it showed a red line everywhere they whent on a map , which is what i whould like to do ,but they did not say what gps they where useing , is this possible with my gps unit ? thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
+EScout Posted February 13, 2011 Share Posted February 13, 2011 The thing to remember with the original eXplorists is that all data moves into and out of the unit in the form of files. There are waypoint, geocache, track log, and route files. If you get a track from some place, convert it with GPSBabel and copy the file into a Track Logs folder on your SD card, or the internal memory. Quote Link to comment
