JaysMaw (Team KJB)
Hi! I thought I saw somewhere where someone had made it to where everytime a new log was posted for his travel bug, a "distance traveled" line appeared and gave a number---- how do you do this? My first bug is just now beginning to move, and it would be interesting to keep track of its mileage :-) Quote Link to comment
+VentureForth
So long as the bug is properly logged when retrieved and placed, it should be done automatically by the website. If yours hasn't hit a second cache yet, it hasn't 'moved' for tracking purposes. I believe that the distances are in total travel, not straight line from first to last location. IE: If bug goes back and forth between two caches 10 miles apart 6 times, it would show that the bug travelled 120 miles, not just 10. Go! And don't be afraid to get a little wet! I think it's twenty miles. ... Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-- I took the one less traveled by, ... unclerojelio Quote Link to comment
JaysMaw (Team KJB)
Awwww....dang! There must be a "bug" in the system then. The travel bug *has* already hit another cache (went from indiana to Tennessee), and the distance isn't on there. Guess I'll have to figure out how to do this by hand then (with my rotten math skills......LOL!) Quote Link to comment
