+hijfte Posted June 30, 2010 Share Posted June 30, 2010 Garmin GPSmap 60CSx problem not acquiring satellites. My Garmin GPSmap 60CSx is not acquiring satellites. I've never had this happen before and was using the unit saturday and sunday with no problems. Went caching monday, and now it won't acquire any satellites. The satellite screen is just stuck on "Acquiring Satellites" but none are displayed along the bottom. I've tried toggling the 'use with gps off' and back on, but that doesn't help. Also tried the 'new location' feature, but no luck! Batteries out and back in. Card out and back in... nothing. Any ideas? Please help. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
roybassist Posted June 30, 2010 Share Posted June 30, 2010 Press MENU>MENU>Setup>System>MENU>Software Version. If the GPS SW Version is listed as 0.00, it has lost the chipset firmware and you will need to reload it. Quote Link to comment
