Keuldad Posted July 6, 2002 Share Posted July 6, 2002 Being very new at this, is there any database where I can look up an area or view a map with the benchmarks shown? THEN looking up coordinates as opposed to the search feature on this site. Ex: I recently found a marker near the base of catfish fire tower in blairstown, nj. I'm sure its listed if i were to enter zip code, but is there anyplace that would list them or show them on a map?? One of the best sites i've found in a loooog time!! Quote Link to comment
survey tech Posted July 6, 2002 Share Posted July 6, 2002 Go to the NGS site, click on "data sheets", then click on "map search" at the bottom of the data sheets section, wait for the map viewer to load, then use the tool buttons to pan and zoom all around the country. Quote Link to comment
