Maybe it's something to add. Is it instant notification you are looking for? Are you planning to run out the door at a minutes notice for 3.5/3.5 or above caches? If so, you are correct that Instant Notification does not allow you to filter by Distance/Terrain. If however you are just looking to identify them for a later cache visit, you can set up a Pocket Query that will return ONLY the caches you are interested in. And you have the option to either run the Query and receive an email, or only preview it (which does not count against your daily allotment of 5 Queries). Link to comment

Mostly mountain caches in several areas within 200 miles of home co-ords. Yes I would run out the door.
