+trippy1976
http://www.orangegadgets.com/products.html I'm "cursed" with an old generation iPod touch - but I have the Geocaching app. I wished for a plug-in GPS module and then when I searched today - woot! This came up. Just curious if anyone else has seen it, tried it or heard about it. I'm probably going to pick one up - if i could cache with my old gen iPod that would basically just rock. +gaijinboricua
I have used the geocaching app in iphone and I must say, it is very nice. I wonder how well it would work in a first gen ipod touch tho. I can see 2 things that are bad with htis approach: To take full advantage of the geocaching app you need an internet connection. You can download the caches for offline use, but the real selling point in my opinion is google maps. I am unsure if the geocaching app works great without an internet connection, but I doubt it Also the unit is about $75.00, I would think that saving some money for a regular GPSr would be a better approach.
