tigerfan27
So I just got my first GPS and it is a Garmin 60csx. I began to download the geocaches onto my GPS and was a bit disappointed to find that the names were put in the format of GCXXXXX. I would like to change this format so I am able to more quickly find the names of the geocache I am searching for. Is there anyway to change this? Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
Naming the software that you used would get you a better answer. Quote Link to comment
tigerfan27
I am just downloading the geocaches off of geocaching.com. I am not sure what you mean by software. Quote Link to comment
+fratermus
If you ever use EasyGPS you'll find this functionality is available under: Edit | Preferences | Geocaching Note that using the GC* waypoint name may actually be easier to read on some units. Quote Link to comment
tigerfan27
K well thank you I am using garmin mapsource so if anyone knows of a way to change the GCnumber to the actual name that would be helpful Quote Link to comment
+Damin69
If you use GSAK there is actually a macro for the 60 so you can load them in if you wish by name. I personally prefer the GC Numbers over the names. When I click the GC number the name of the Cache actually shows up in the notes. Quote Link to comment
