Why so far?

I have always noticed that new cache notifications are always way off (in distance) from my true home coordinates. Here is another view of my problem, we have our nearest cache to our home as exactly .2 miles but when I search from home coordinates it shows it being 5.2 miles.

I have checked our 60Csx and the coordinates from home and the nearest cache are very, very accurate. The bottom line, I have no idea what coordinates or what else is being used for new cache notifications but as you can see the distances are 5 miles off. Help. :P

Check your profile. Look in Account Details -- My Location. Make sure your home coordinates are correct. If not edit them. That should solve your problem.

Something else to consider, when you set your "home coordinates", don't give your real coords. Set it to a block away or something. Reason being, that if you ever loose or have your GPS stolen, you don't want someone knowing where you live. Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean people aren't out to get me.
