BM in the world

Hello, "rsanthill."

Survey marks are definitely used all over the world, so it's likely that there are some in Malta. However, Groundspeak has only put the biggest U.S. database on their website. (And even that is now nine years out of date.)

Some governments (national, regional, and local) have put their survey databases online. You might try checking the website of any Maltese government agency that deals with surveying.

Also, some of the people from this forum have created categories on Waymarking.com for benchmarks and related monuments. You can see a list of all of those categories here:

Good luck!

Hi Patty--

Just a pat on the back for you from Boston. I've noticed that you are often the one who gives the first, fullest, and friendliest response to newcomers who ask basic benchmarking questions over here. For what it's worth, I commend you. This is also meant to buy me forbearance with my next less-than genius question-post.

Thank you, Paul, that's very kind of you.

LOL! Maybe it will buy me some, too?
