Explorist 500 cache description

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the cache description into a Explorist 500?

 

I am able to get a PQ downloaded, converted to a .gs via Magellan VP s/w, and loaded into my SD card. I get a bunch of info, but the description is not showing..

You could always get an old palm pilot for about $15 and downoad cachemate for $8 and have all the info you want. Back when I had my explorist 500 that's what I did.

That's exactly what I do: Explorist 600, old Palm M130, GSAK and cachemate. Combo works for me until I upgrade to something like a Delorme PN-40 ...

We took the Explorist out for our first day of caching with it.. I was really impressed, it was very easy to work with, and the screen was easy to see, even without the backlight on..

 

I was disappointed with the lack of a full description, and now I need to figure out how to sync my finds back through GSAK..

 

It was a good day though!
