+JABs Posted March 2, 2009 Share Posted March 2, 2009 Ok am posting this for another cacher who is unable to log onto the forums. He sent me this- I'm a premium member, I log in, click forums... It asks me to Log In or Register.. If I log in with my username / pw, it says its incorrect.. If I click register, it tries to go to another page and brings me back to the home page Here is his profile page http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=64...e5-9edf31708f8a could some one help him to gain access to the forums. Also, I seem to remember that the password for one is case sensitive and the password for the other isn't (I can't remember which is which). --Larry Quote Link to comment
+IowaDave Posted March 4, 2009 Share Posted March 4, 2009 Don't know if he's got the problem resolved yet, but I was having the same issue. I contacted the site support & they said: "Hi, I am going to bet that you have a non-alpha numeric character in your password. One of these, !@#$%^&*()_-=+. The forum software does not work with these characters. If you change your password it should work fine". I did have a non-alpha numeric character in my PW. I changed it & it worked fine. Why they don't tell you this or have a message about this when your login fails is totally beyond me, but that's probably the issue. Quote Link to comment
