RebFamily
My father in law just bought a Garmin eTrex HCX . I went to find a cache and i cannot get there(I already know exactly where it is). When useing the map to guide you(it does the same thing on the compass too) when you zoom in there is a ring around the triangle(that you are). When you near the cache it keeps the ICON outside the ring, and will not let you reach it. I need to get rid of the ring, or how do you get things to pass thru the ring. If you set a waypoint that will work you can get that inside the ring. HELP ME PLEASE!! Quote Link to comment

It's probably the accuracy indicator. If so, it is not a forcefield keeping you away from the cache, and he is too close to the cache to be looking at the GPS. Quote Link to comment
