+Plasma Boy
I have a friend who is sailing down the east coast from Nova Scotia and wants to use her Garmin hand held for navigation, along with other electronics. The bluecharts from Garmin are very expensive. I am told the the raster and vector data for these charts are freely available from NOAA. Has anyone out there converted any of this free data into the Garmin format and DL'd to their hand held Garmin? Quote Link to comment

I know I have seen various programs that convert scanned maps but the ones i checked out were way too geeky for my limited capabilites Edited June 10, 2008 by trolleyfan Quote Link to comment
