stoholmerne
For this TB http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...9f-4f4cde9b57c5 I get an error message when using View in Google Earth. The error message is "Geocaching KML Error" and I "end up" in Seattle. What might be the problem? Edited May 4, 2008 by stoholmerne Link to comment
robertlipe
Definitely a web site problem, not a Google Earth one. Look at the KML: $ cat 1ee9c11c-1ca2-40f0-8f9f-4f4cde9b57c5.kml <kml xmlns="http://earth.google.com/kml/2.1"> <Folder><Placemark>

Object cannot be cast from DBNull to other types. at System.DBNull.System.IConvertible.ToInt64(IFormatProvider provider) at System.Convert.ToInt64(Object value) at Geocaching.UI.tbkml.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)
<visibility>1</visibility><Point><coordinates>-122.34902, 47.620382, 0</coordinates></Point></Placemark></Folder></kml> Link to comment

robertlipe
The KML for the cache in question has changed for the better. It is no longer the error text cited above. It uses an odd mixutre of KML styles, but it's now not broken. I've confirmed that Earth 4.3 successfully loads it. So whatever Whitelaw is seeing, it's a different problem than the one mentioned in the OP. Link to comment
stoholmerne
I also reported the error to Groundspeak, and it has been corrected. Link to comment
stoholmerne
... well, it seemed to have be corrected, but actually, it has not been corrected yet. I have received information from Groundspeak, that they have acknowledged the problem. Link to comment
