I'm Trying to make a link to my blog on my forum signature. I can only get it to post text. I tried the HTML way of <a href="http://www.geocaching.com">text</a>

What else can I try?

Your Link

Got it, Thanks.

I preferred Whatever.com though. (Only TrailGators will understand that) :D

 When I typed it way, it made it a link so you couldn't see what I wanted you to see. Anyhow, I had this exact same issue a couple of years ago so I was glad to help! :D

Edit: Nice blog by the way! :)

Thanks too. A quick search over the forum when HTML didn't work solved my problem.

This kind of info should be present in help popups aside the relevant fields...

Actually, it's not working. I'm using this:

Visiting Lisbon, Portugal? Follow my [url=http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=56da9df3-2f69-498f-a030-b0a3930bd356/] tourist friendly bookmark [/url]. Rate it! Need additional help? Let me know!

Any help would be welcome.

That extra "/" at the end may be messing things up...

There's actually a domain example.com which is reserved for just that- an example ;) .

As a general rule, forums use BBCode in place of HTML. Some of the formatting tags are similar, just with brackets [] instead of <>. Forum signatures are the same way. You can even use BBcode tags in cache logs, too.

No luck... ISDN :/

Actually, this might be some sort of caching issue at Groundspeak and some synchronization problems . I changed the signature to something completely different and it still shows the first version. I'll try again later, except if the signature says I am a small furry creature (in which case it means this is working properly)

I did a trial of the item above...and it worked...I had your sig line for a bit!!!

Closed any windows I had open with the forum...logged into gc.com and edited my profile then entered the forums through the gc.com links...

That's it. Thank you all. One needs to log out of the forum, change the profile on geocaching.com and then log back in to see the changes. It's strange, but it's true.
