Axeon Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 Hi users, I've just updated my Australian 600 unit from firmware 2.03 to 2.57. I've lost WAAS funtionality and the unit takes forever again to lock on. I've tried turning on WAAS via custom function 03. It turns on but WAAS is not shown in the screen with the accuracy in meters anymore. It still takes forever to obtain lock compared to the 2.03 firmware. Anyone have any solutions? And can I revert to the ver 2.03 firmware? the 2.03 opens up WAAS and is really quick in locking your location. Dan Quote Link to comment
+embra Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 As long as the GPS is functioning, you can always load a prior firmware version. Did you perform a clear memory/all *after* installing the 2.57? The directions only call for the clear memory before the installation is performed, but a lot of us have found that doing one immediately after the installation has taken care of some functioning problems that one would not have suspected to be remedied by that intervention. FWIW, WAAS seemed to function normally on my 500 with 2.57. Quote Link to comment
