Windows XP Pro And Map On Cache Page

Recommended Posts

When you go to a cache listing, on the right side of the page, under inventory and decription key, there is a street map you can click on.

On windows 2000 I can see it. On Windows XP...it does not display.

What settings do I need. I have security at medium and Active-x enabled....what else?

The map itself does not display or when you click on it it does not display?

I've reset all to "default" and still don't see it.

If I click on "My Account", on the left side it says "Advertise With Us"...the picture above that does not display either.

I'll have to play with the settings later.

Ok, I found it. It is "Zone Alarm" the firewall doing something. If I stop Zone Alarm...everything works fine. If I start it...some pictures and maps don't show up.

I'll get back.

I figured it was something pop-up related originally...that's why I asked the first question to clarify. ZA would do that. Firewalls will certainly create that problem.

Ok, On Zone Alarm...On the "Main" screen, if you have "Ad Blocking" set to "High" you won't see the maps. I set it to "Medium" and it works fine.

On Windows 2000 I have it set to high and it works fine. Oh well...now that this is working on XP...I will not have to get Vista...lol.

Thanks all for the replies.

Personally, I'd avoid Vista like the plague for a while....glad you got it working. :D
