+scubadiver6
I just ordered a Garmin 60CSx and want to buy the Citi Navigator software.... It looks like it is available on both microSD and DVD. I'm sure its the same thing, but is there a reason why I would want the DVD versus the microSD? Quote Link to comment
xer0piggy
Money. The MicroSD packages are much more expensive. Convenience always comes at a price. Quote Link to comment
+DocDiTTo
Buy the DVD. The MicroSD cards with the software preinstalled can't be upgraded to a newer version, so if you want to upgrade you have to buy another microSD card. Better to buy one MicroSD card once and load it from the DVD, then you can upgrade the DVD (for less money) down the road if you need to. Quote Link to comment
CenTexDodger
Versatility. If you buy the card, you have only the maps on the card. If you buy the DVD, you can use city nav maps, topo, and whatever else you want (assuming you have the space) all on your GPS at the same time. Quote Link to comment
