Caches near Logrono with english translation

Hi there,

we will spend our summer vacation in Logrono. Unfortunately we don´t speak any spanish. But we would love to find some caches.

Does anyoney know, if there exist any caches in english?

Here is what I would do:

 

1) Use a map, Google, or some other method to find the approximate coordinates of your destination. (Logrono seems to be close to N 42 27, W 2 29)

 

2) Search for caches close to those coordinates using the "Latitude Longitude Search" on the "Hide & Seek a Cache" page. There doesn't seem to be many caches in the Logrono area.

 

3) Now you can look at the cache pages in the area and see if any of them are written in English or are bilingual. In this case it looks like the nearest bilingual caches are about 30 miles (50 km) away and were placed by davidfge. You can also try for a cache that's only written in Spanish even if you don't speak Spanish by using bablefish to translate into English or your native language: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ The translation will be very bad, but probably good enough to get the general idea.

 

4) When logging the cache, I would think it would be most polite to write a log in the language of the cache, the local language, or a bilingual log if you know the language, and if you don't, I would think it's fine to just log in English or another language that's common in the area. Or perhaps you could learn a general phrase such as "Encontrado viajando de Almania, gracias por el cache." (Found travelling from Germany, thanks for the cache). If anyone knows a more accepted form of etiquette in a situation like this, please correct me.

 

Finally, pardon me for my poor Spanish translation below--I only know a little bit of Spanish.

Sí estuvo viajando a un lugar de donde no hablo la lenuga local, hago eso:

 

1) Usa una mapa, Google, o otra método de descrubir las coordenadas más or menos del lugar. (Parece que Logroño es cerca de N 42 27, W 2 29)

 

2) Usa el "Latitude Longitude Search en la página "Hide & Seek a Cache" para buscar los caches cerca del lugar. Parece que no hay muchos caches cerca de Logroño.

 

3) Ya se puede leer las páginas de caches cerca del lugar y ver sí algunos son escríta en inglés o en inglés y español. En Logroño parece que necesita viajar más or menos 30 miles (50 kilometros) para buscar los caches mas cerca con texto en inglés (caches de davidfge). También, se puede usar bablefish, http://babelfish.altavista.com/ para un traducción. La traducción es muy malo, pero quizás lo sirve para entendar más or menos lo que necesita para buscar el cache.

 

4) Cuando se escrita el cache log, creo que es mejor escritar en la lenuga del cache, la lengua local, o ambos sí es posible, pero sí no entiendo la lengue basta escritar solamente en inglés or otra lengua local. Quizás sirve bastante bien aprendar unos cortes textos para usar en el log: por ejemplo: "Encontrado viajando de Almania, gracias por el cache." Sí hay una persona que sabe un metodico mejor o más correcto de escribir una log en partes de donde no habla la lengua, favor de explicarlo.

 

Al fín, perdoname por la traducción muy malo. Hablo solamente un poquito de español.
