+Twotigersmom
DS and I are about to go place our 1st cache. My question is, how long after we fill out the online form will our cache be listed? Quote Link to comment
+badlands
Be patient, the reviewers are volunteers. It usually only takes a couple of days, but if they are busy with life, it could take a week or more. Also note that basic caches are easier to approve than complex puzzle or multi caches. Be patient. Quote Link to comment
+cache_test_dummies
They try to get caches listed within 72 hours, but there is no definitive answer. Multi caches can take longer to get approved, for example. All the reviewers are volunteers, so approval can depend on their workload and availability as well. What will help is to make sure you've read (and that you understand) the cache placement guidelines, and be sure to include any important extra information in the reviewer notes. List additional waypoints if the cache is a multi. Oh, and remember to check the box next to "Yes, this listing is active" or the reviewer won't see the listing. Quote Link to comment
+Twotigersmom
Cool, we were just curious. No rush since we haven't even filled out the form yet So will we be emailed when it gets listed? Or will we need to look for it on the website? Quote Link to comment

And then you'll immediately go look at it on the web site. Quote Link to comment
+JohnTee
I've seen our local reviewer have one up and approved within 30 minutes of it's being posted. Eight hours isn't bad and 72 hours would be a long time. Another nearby reviewer can definitely go the 72 hours or more . . . JohnTee Quote Link to comment
+Twotigersmom
Thaks you guys for the responses. We placed it and came up with the same coordinates each time we walked back to the car and went back to it from a different direction. Tomorrow, my hubby said he'll try to find it using my coordinates to make sure they are right. Quote Link to comment
