Tracks Overlay on GoogleMaps/GoogleEarth

I've been caching for a while and never actually attempted to do this - pull the tracks from a day's cache from my GPS and produce an overlay for GoogleMaps or GoogleEarth. I can see in MapSource, but would like to see overlaid on a SAT image.

 

I've seen these done before, but do not know how it was done. Any pointers?

Mark, very easy to do. Download your GPS tracks in MapSource, edit them as you want in there, and "save as" a .gpx file.

 

Open GE, go to File/Open and change "Files of type" to: "GPS (*.gpx *.loc) and you're all set.

There is another way that is even easier. If you haven't updated MapSource from Garmin, goto:

http://www.garmin.com/support/mappingsw.jsp

 

I just noticed they updated it on Sept 21. Download and install and all you have to do is download the data and go to View and there is a menu item to view in Google Earth.
