pyt22fr
Hi, I have uploaded Custom POIs with POILoader to my 60Csx, but the "beep" sound related to the proximity alert is very low, much lower than the "beep" for waypoints, hence making the proximity alert useless in a car environment (ambient noise). Have you also experienced this ? Does anybody know if there is a way to change or assign a specific sound to Custom POIs ? Thanks. pyt22fr Quote Link to comment
alwaysGPS
If I remember correctly, the type of alert for positions set under proximity is controlled by "alarm" tone you chose under "tone" setting. Mine is giving a longish ringing tone (as compared to a single beep) that is loud enough to attract attention. Edited June 15, 2006 by alwaysGPS Quote Link to comment

Hi, Yes I have tried to adjust the tone settings, but no way, none of them had an impact on the tone of the Custom POI proximity alert. I have a longish sinble beep, but it is very weak. I'll try again the "alarm" tone, but I'll also see if I can do something on the Excel file that I used to upload the list of Custom POI. Thanks. pyt22fr Quote Link to comment
