+revwil
I found a marker near a bm I was looking for. It's on land near a military base, so I think it might be a boundary marker? Help! It's a vertically mounted plate about 2"x3", embossed with the letter "US" (presumably for United States). The plate is mounted in a 6"x6" concrete monument (very old) about a foot tall. Is my hunch correct? Quote Link to comment
+Kewaneh & Shark
A boundary marker would be a good hunch. Many government lands, including military bases, can be identified by the fairly large or otherwise prominent posts used to mark their boundaries. Do you have a picture and/or coordinates of the marker in question. There are many people who frequent this forum who may be able to identify it, and the additional information would help to narrow down the possibilities. - Kewaneh Quote Link to comment

I am a brand new user to forums of any type. Quote Link to comment
