I don't recall which caches I was looking for, but there was this famous event once:

Such is the problem of owning an etrex yellow and just glancing in your caching bag before going out on a day-long hunt many miles from home.

Recently my biggest DOH! moment was when I got a FTF on Stanmore Trail - 2

 

I managed to find the cache, but then...

It all went horribly wrong!

 

So I returned - to make things worse!

 

But things turned out right in the end!

 

On this cache I remember saying "be careful not to drop this"

Not quite a 'DOH' moment but freaky ....

 

Mr Tumnus and I were doing Mojoh's dimension series. As we strolled to find The Fourth Square a half mile or so up the track, Mr Tumnus spied a tree and thought out loud, "the tree is just shouting for a cache". Into the tree he jumped a retrieved the cache.

 

Whats so odd about that?

 

Well in his GPS he had put the northing instead of the westing and vice versa.

 

Probably qualifies for a DOH!
