Hello, Im new to the sport.

I have a megellan and wonderend if anyone knew how to input points

manually. Or is the unit no capable of doing this ?

First, take a look at this post I made when someone asked this a while back. Entering POIs for the 300 is the same as for the 100 and 200. It's quite simple, basically hit the mark button to save a point for your current position. If you want to save coordinates for a different location, just use the clickstick to go down and edit the coordinates. See the aforementioned post for the details or check out the manual.

Hey! I just got a 300 also! I am learning it and it seems pretty straight-forward. You can even change the little icon on the POIs.

its a nice unit, got mine a couple years ago for fishing.

the batteries only work for 2 days in this colder weather.

good idea to keep a spare set.

looks like I will be using mine more now.

cant believe there are this many caches around Irons.

Yes, I love mine, my first GPSr was an eTrex yellow and it was a nightmare to enter waypoints. I like the eXplotist because it has the thumb stick.
