Search By Date

i was looking at some caches i might do this weekend and one was quite a bit older than what i usually see. it got me thinking about how someone might search for the oldest caches in his/her area. is this possible?

i'm sure many would come up as archived or disabled, but the logs might be fun to read, and i, for one, would enjoy looking for the oldest active ones nearby. any ideas?

1. From the hide and seek a cache page, select your country or state and do a search for all caches in that country or state. For new caches/FTF opportunities, look at the first pages of search results. For history, jump to the end of the list and work your way backwards.

2. Order a pocket query that's restricted to caches placed prior to the date that you specify on the setup form, and browse the preview results online. You can combine that feature with any other search terms, so that, for example, you would only get caches within 50 miles of your home, and which were hidden prior to June 1, 2002.
