Category Proposal: Firehouses

The new category would be located under the Buildings heading (unless someone can suggest a more appropriate location), and would include both paid and volunteer companies throughout the world.

 

Ideally, the topic would make people more aware that the men and women responding to the sound of the siren during the middle of the night are most likely volunteers.

Mostly Volunteer?? Perhaps in some parts of the country certainly, but not all. My department is technically combination but the majority of the responders are the carreer firefighters. Some offense may be taking in many areas if this is the purpose of your catagory. After all aren't all responders equal in what they do. just a thought.
