Hi Zaph, I would like to help you increase the number of geocach sites in Australia! I'm a journalist at The Australian newspaper and I would like to write a story about geocaching. I'm interested in how geocaching works; why do you like it; how do work out where you're going to stash your treasure; what do you put in your stashes; is it hard to find the treasure when you use your GPS; etc..... I tried that initially. They told me to write it up and send it as an email to sales@garmin.com. (Why "sales"?) Maybe Garmin is taking my idea seriously. I just haven't gotten any feedback. It would have been nice to know if a real human actually ever received my suggestion and considered it. Thanks, C

Here in Colorado I couldn't find any interest when I first found this game. I put out an easy to reach cache and posted it on the email list. Within 2 weeks I had 4 people visit the site... So basically, "Stash it, and they will come"...

I am Glenn, you may have seen me post as nz_etrex. I am hooked on Stash / Cache hunting and have logged my first find that was over 1000kms (625+ miles) from home on a recent trip to the South Island. Have been close to the Melbourne and Sydney caches too but didn't have time to check them out. I have a Garmin Etrex and love it. Suits my needs perfectly. If you have any stories or thoughts you would like to share then please posts these here too. Lets make the NZ page the one to visit !!
