  2. Congrats to fellow SI'er and forum irregular splicingdan on reaching #200 just recently. Took you long enough man!
  3. Well done crr 003 got 200 up at last justhejob + toby the dog
  4. Another century was reached in Scotland on a trip to the far North after attending the annual cache bash, by the Tupperware Party at Ask Ivy. Well done!!
  5. Big congratulations to The Wobbly Club, who reached two hundred cache finds today on my Old Sarum multi! The Wobbly Club consists of Colin and Daphne, who both have walking difficulties and use walking aids, so reaching two hundred finds is an extra special achievement. Congratulations, Colin and Daphne! And I'm pleased to see that your first and your two hundredth were both caches of mine!
  6. Congrats Brian Sad that I cannot spell -phoenix- Bob
  7. I'm looking to purchase a gps unit and just saw the new Magellan eXplorist 200. Has anyone used this gps yet? If so, how do you like it and how does it compare with other Garmin and Magellan units?
  8. Well done *bingoboy* on reaching your 200th cache
  9. Help?? So I waited a year and checked around and read stuff and decided on the Explorist 200 for mostly the screen size and cost. Seemed practical to me and map is OK but not essential. BUT!!! How do I use the darned thing to find a cach? It seems I can only enter a waypoint if I am standing on its coor. I thought I would enter the coordinates and it would point me the right way. I have a cach coor. and I know its very close. Its almost the same as my house. but I can't enter coor. into it. I figured out how to operate it but not how to use it...any input will be greatly appreciated. John...........
  10. If you are planning on getting the Magellan eXplorist 200 for it's road mapping capabilities, don't. The only roads it shows are interstates and major highways/ roads. I live in Charleston, SC and it only shows like 3-4 roads in downtown Charleston. My old Garmin eMap has a million times more detail than this thing. It has great accuracy and everything but don't buy it for it's mapping features. Just my humble opinion.
  11. Well done all of you. That was quick going!
  12. I have been considering one of these two as they fit into my budget. My family is interrested in geocaching. Any comments about which I would be happier with. They both seem nice but the Garmin seems like it does more. Is one more sensitive than the other. I realize there are opinions on brands but I am more concerned with an all around better performer. Thanks
  13. Congrats to BlackZ--one of the few in the Richmond area to break the big 200! And thanks to them as well for helping sponsor the River Rally event down here to grow the sport!
  14. Having had the pleasure of caching with him to 199 it was great to see you hit the 200 mark and plant a new one in Scotland. Good luck witht he job. Well Done and congratulations G Force
  15. Congratulations to Dave on finding his 200th cache yesterday and a belated Happy 44th Birthday
  16. I am using a ETrex and it seems fine but I was woundering what the best GPS for under 200.00 might be?
  17. SilentBob zoomed past 200 last weekend at the Richmond River Rally Event! Way to go boB!
  18. I'm not sure if this is old information so forgive if it is. I don't have the explorist100,200or300 but I found this most interesting site that will certainly peak the interest of those inquisitive minds. I just read on rhamphorinkx.newmail.ru/connect.htm that you can remove the rubber pad where the data cable usually goes and with a home made cable and upload maps(future) to these units. These people are writing software to convert meridian based maps to explorist format that will be available in the near future. The site is offline right now, I used the cached function on google to read it. Here is what that site says, Sorry the photos on the site are unavailable, maybe someone with more info can help people with these models of explorists.
  19. There are now 200 caches in West Virginia! #200 had great timing too--it's a math themed cache. Now if we really go wild and place a bunch more we can get close to our neighboring states! (Hey, we have more than DC!)
  20. Congratulation to rapidair1 on his 200 th find!
  21. (and both my centennial and bi-centennial finds where cemetary caches - I see a pettern developing).... -PD
  22. Congratulations Joisey Girl. This was a great weekend to nab your 200th cache. Glad I could be along. Where are we going next weekend?
