  1. You definitely need an award or something! Congrats....
  2. FYI: The webcam geocache is now fully operational after being out of commission lately. * San Antonio - Webcam Cache *
  3. quote:Originally posted by HartClimbs:BTW - do we get any state quarters for this award, I'm looking for something to leave in BrianSnat's caches? The award is a collection if delightful and colorful McToys with freshly minted WheresGeorge Dollar Bills. The occasional Susan B Anthony coin may be thrown in as well....
  4. Yikes! How can I forget about our friend, Hartclimbs and his 'near-death' experience with a savage, rabid German Sheperd dog that terrorized the neighborhood ... The revised 2003 Gung-Ho List is as follows: January 2003:Mike RiccoBono at the Curse of the Suburban Jungle February 2003:Hartclimbs German Shepard encounter at the Passaic Hideaway cache. March 2003:BrianSnat's extraordinary comedy of errors at The Bridge at Remagen cache. April 2003: Nominees for this month are still being accepted... I'd like to nominate Team GWHO's need to realize that losing a Garmin V GPS is NOT kosher from his log at the Passaic Hideaway cache.
  5. The 2003 Gung-Ho Geocacher-of-the-Year Nominees are presenting themselves nicely so far: January 2003:Mike RiccoBono at the Curse of the Suburban Jungle February 2003:We still need a nominee here... Perhaps we should award a nice spiffy trophy at our annual GeoEvents ..
  6. Man! Loved to have joined you guys..why pick a Monday... No time off for me.
  7. The real geocacher in that group is undoubtably Autumn, their dog. The rest just follow along.... Congrats Helmut to you and your daughters!
  8. I wonder who it can be......hmmmmm!....
  9. What would the ,er, terrain level difficulty be for this um, cache?
  10. I got my trusty WheresGeorge stamp and Pad from a cache called Bottom of Lake Passaic III
  11. I am not too concerned about it too much. Like Brian, if its just generic information and not too specific, its ok. But sure! Major spoilers are a killer when explicit.
  12. Correct me if I am wrong, but logic dicates that regardless of how many satellites there are out there, your trusty little Garmin GPS still receives a maximum of 12 satellites and the accuracy remains the same. The more satellites you receive - the more accurate it is.
  13. there are now 27 GPS satellites deployed, and our GPS units can only pick up 12? http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/space/03/31/gps.satellite.reut/index.html
  14. quote:So when are you taking all of us out on your new boat? Haha! I dont think she'll like being referred to as a boat! (although getting a boat would have been a little cheaper...Hmmm) ..but I can see the ambiguity in my previous statement...
  15. Most noble, indeed!! Well done. I am battling to find time to reach that magic number myself. I have found another expensive hobby that dictates most of my free time - and money. But she is worth it...
  16. quote:Originally posted by The Leprechauns: No, the easiest way is to bring along a reporter with you to a cache you haven't found yet. . Heh heh! I am thinking of a certain Northeast geocacher.. <koff>BrianSnat<koff!>
  17. Mopar #1 with lettering from Mopar 2 .... but hey, what do I know?
  18. ...when asked at a news conference about whether the army was concerned at those GPS Jammers and its effectiveness, the army spokesman said that all 5 of them were blown up .....with GPS guided weapons!!!
  19. Well done guys! Hope to see you again at the next geo-gettogether.
  20. quote:Originally posted by Maclir:Turn off the #$%@ music Confucious says ...'Wise man who creates music on cache page, must provide backdoor to shut it off' Seriously dude, give the visitors an option to switch it off. Or have it optional... see one of my caches as an example.
  21. quote:Originally posted by Team Ekitt10:Is the award only attainable if the cacher finds the cache? I'd like to nominate BrianSnat for his adventure on Marty's http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=14045. So far that cache has claimed a Jeep (See BP's log) and a pair of good khakis. Did you have to get stitches in that hand Brian? A most interesting log, indeed! Thanks for a, er, humorous start to the day, Brian.
