Hi,
Paypal has decided that this account was too excessive a risk and they are closing it. I am currently working with them to get payments back to everyone who has paid.
However, this is not the end of the SEPAG coin or it's sales. I am funding the coin with my own money so as to get it in hand and then I will resell it. The coin description will change a little bit as I am only purchasing 650 of these coins so it will have the PC prefix, not PA. It will still have it's own icon and separate line on the trackables page.
I've kept a list of everyone who's ordered and you will have the first chance to purchase one. I don't want anyone who went thought the hassle of ordering one to miss out.
I am sincerely sorry for this problem and hope you will still want to buy one in the near future. The estimated date I should have them in hand is mid-June. As soon as I have them, I will start selling them again.
If you sent me a request for a coin and haven't received an invoice, I have your information. You will also be the first group to know when the coin comes out.
If you have any questions, please contact me at sepagcoin@gmail.com
Thanks,
-Ben Rhoades
{edit to say ALL payments will be refunded!}
Thanks for the update. I did send an email without looking at the forums as twice my invoices were cancelled. Since there will be a significant reduction in mint size I want to make sure my 3 coins are still on your list.
What about going to one of the geocoin companies that offer the ability to sell the coins also. I know the geocoinstore has the capability to open up a sale to those with an access code. This way everyone that has already pre-ordered would be able to get orders in?

I also had a similar question. I have bought a few coins of which some I have purchased duplicates for trades, FTF prizes, gifts. If I do not intend to keep the coin as part of my collection or to release it / let it travel do I activate the coin or at least get the activation code for the coin and then give it as a gift/FTF/trade? Or do I leave it unactivated (recipient would have to find the activation code. Just wondering about common practices

Ooops! I thought I saw your profile once before and recall a forum message about wanting to go to Hawaii. I myself would also love to move to Hawaii and live in the Kailua-Kona area.
Sent a message to ahecht.
Thanks....

For anyone interested, the Bancroft Tower cache in Worcester is up for adoption. The owner, ahecht, recently posted this note for it:
"As I will be graduating WPI next month, I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to put this cache up for adoption. It is well behaved and doesn't eat much, although it isn't quite housebroken.
If any local cachers want to take this cache under their wing, let me know."

One of the first caches we found in Massachusetts. I will be up for adopting this cache.
and Congratulations!! You wont be staying in MA after you graduate?

On the top of the page for all trackables there is a five letter word that says "owner". You usually become owner to any of these in one of two ways 1) You purchase the coin or TB tag and activate it 2) you adopt it from a previous owner.
Once a trackable is released it is true who knows what is going to happen to it. However one thing is certain, once the trakcable is dropped and picked up by another cacher it is not automatically adopted out to whoever picked it up nor does the actual ownership of the coin change hands. Therefore the owner is still the person that acivated the item.
So with that being said Moun10bike mints a coin and releases them into the wild already activated under his profile until he sees fit to adopt a coin out to another cacher Moun10bike still is the rightful owner of the coin.
Damenace is dead on... This makes perfect sense to me.

Activate or not to activate. Say you plan to trade for or release as a FTF prize, Would you activate the coin prior to doing so and just leave the tracking registration (gc.com) to the new owner? Or would you not activate the coin and leave the activation to the new owner?
