  2. This may not be much help to you but with GSAK I use the following custom url 'setting' to show all logs on-line: View All Logs=http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=%gcid&log=y&decrypt=
  3. Hmmm, they've lost a sale there then. I was with a friend several weeks back and he had Memory Map running on his M4 without any problems. I emailed asking him to confirm that it was an M4 and he's just replied saying it was.
  4. Nope, don't like them particularly but each unto their own. When working away from home I only have a couple of hours to spare if that. Therefore I tend to avoid puzzles (and multi's) if I can.
  5. You can get round this by exporting a GPX file from GSAK (ensure you DON'T tick the "output original, not corrected co-ords" and importing the resulting file directly into Mapsource. (Note that the latest vesrion of Mapsource will load GPX files directly.) HTH
  6. I wouldn't if I were you. This is what happened to Noah when he tried building one here in England earlier this year ..... In the year 2006, the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in England and said “Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save two of every living thing along with a few good humans.” He gave Noah the CAD drawings, saying, “You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights.” Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard but no Ark. "Noah!” He roared, “I’m about to start the rain! Where is the Ark?” “Forgive me, Lord,” begged Noah, “ but things have changed. I needed Building Regulations Approval. I’ve been arguing with the Fire Brigade about the need for a sprinkler system. My neighbours claim that I should have obtained planning permission for building the Ark in my garden because it is development of the site even though in my view it is a temporary structure. We had to go to appeal to the Secretary of State for a decision. Then the Department of Transport demanded a bond be posted for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions to clear the passage for the Ark’s move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us but they would hear nothing of it. Getting the wood was another problem. All the decent trees have Tree Preservation Orders on them and we live in a Site of Special Scientific Interest set up in order to protect the Spotted Owl. I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls - but no go! When I started gathering the animals, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) sued me. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodation was too restrictive, and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space. Then the County Council, the Environment Agency and the Rivers Authority ruled that I couldn’t build the Ark until they’d conducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood. I’m still trying to resolve a complaint with the Equal Opportunities Commission on how many Black and Minority Ethnic Groups (BMEs) I’m supposed to hire for my building team. The trades unions say I can’t use my sons. They insist I have to hire only Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) accredited workers with Ark-building experience. To make matters worse, Customs and Excise seized all my assets, claiming I’m trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species! So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish this Ark." Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched across the sky. Noah looked up in wonder and asked, “You mean you’re not going to destroy the world?” "No,” said the Lord. “The government beat me to it.”
  7. Yes, I agree LG and I started a thread on this very problem when "additional" waypoints were first introduced. From the responses it seems some individuals actually like said pain
  8. I also have one of those 4 x AA rechargers for my iQue and they are very handy indeed. In the last week I've replaced the 'tired' original Garmin 900mAh fitted in my iQue 3600 with one of these 1800mAh iQue Batteries. It's given it a new lease of life. With this new 'double capacity' battery it lasts for a lot longer than it ever did, and only £20 delivered from the USA.
  9. The previous email account that I used to get my PQs used to "go over the high water mark" when I was away on business/hols after a few days. With my gmail account I can store 2767 MB of data which is held for 30 days, plenty of storage and a decent time period to retrieve stuff. If you would like to try gmail give me a PM and I'll send you an invite, I have a few left
  10. Definitely 'Micro'...... I need to know that caches are micro so I can ignore them Does that mean we're gonna spend all day in the pub on the 7th October then John - Joy of joys,
  11. Precisely my thoughts on this idea. Why do we never get advance notice of this sort of change? I was led to believe that the USA was customer orientated - but this sort of thing seems to disprove that theory
  12. Anyone spot Royal Victoria Bridge on "Spooks" tonight? It appeared a couple of times - well almost
  13. 1. I usually add my "field notes" to found caches. When I select the found radio button - the cache is put into a category called "ToBeLogged"- I then extract that to GSAK for "partial on-line logging". 2. Select the drop down menu/option/Select DB. (Of course you need stuff loaded in each DB first! )
  14. Just dropped in the new icons and they look great. Many thanks I don't seem to be suffering the "Own Caches" colour problem reported by Team Ballibeg - mine show green OK.
  15. I've just exported all those caches pictured using my version of the Roolku custom script without any problems. Have you tried the GSAK Repair/Defrag option under the Database menu?
  16. Coordinate Calculator. It's a very useful program to assist with Multi/Puzzle caches. Have a look at this thread. and download the latest version 1.3 from here.
  17. Scotland? We do water, very reasonable prices too! Yeh but it tastes aweful
  18. It will. Try it and see! Change your regional date setting to dd-mmm-yyyy and run a version of the macro without your modifications. You'll get exactly the same result as with your changes. But I prefer your method... Hi Alan, now I'm confused As it happens that is how my Windoze 2000 date settings are set. I've run the original macro and get (1st line only shown for clarity) ... 1 15/12/2000 04/08/2002 490 My understanding is that Alboy wanted this line to read ... 1 15 Dec 2000 04 Aug 2002 490 hence my initial posted macro amendments. Anyway, I did say that there may be other ways to get this end result and thanks for preferring my method (so do I)
  19. Well said Moote, an excellent analogy . When time in the area has been short the few MM caches I've found made my day.
  20. I wonder who'll be rushing out over the weekend to put out some B-Road caches . Perhaps we should agree on a suitable suffix now, how about B-Road Backlash .
  21. That is excellent. I'd been meaning to make that change myself but hadn't got round to it. Many thanks for that. You're more than welcome - glad to be of help.
  22. That is what I thought you meant and I don't think changing your PC settings will have the same effect. If it is of help to you the following code change will output the table in mmm dd yyyy similar to the PQ set up page ... ########################################################## # The following lines between the # lines are used to put the month into the html output # ######################################################### $FromDMY=(DateToString($From)) $FromYYYY=Left($FromDMY,4) $FromMM=Extract("Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,May,Jun,Jul,Aug,Sep,Oct,Nov,Dec",",",Val(Substr($FromDMY,5,2))) $FromDD=Right($FromDMY,2) $FromDate=$FromMM+" "+$FromDD+" "+$FromYYYY $ToDMY=(DateToString($gdate)) $ToYYYY=Left($ToDMY,4) $ToMM=Extract("Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,May,Jun,Jul,Aug,Sep,Oct,Nov,Dec",",",Val(Substr($ToDMY,5,2))) $ToDD=Right($ToDMY,2) $ToDate=$ToMM+" "+$ToDD+" "+$ToYYYY ########################################################### # The following line has been amended to use the $FromDate & $ToDate variables. # ########################################################## $out = $out + "<tr class=row><td>" + $ThisPQStr + "</td><td>" + $FromDate + "</td><td>" + $Todate + "</td><td> $gtotal</td>" + "<td>$tick</td></tr>" + $_NewLine $from = $gdate + 1 $count = $count - $gtotal EndIf Goto position=Next EndWhile ########################################################## # The following lines between the # lines are used to put the month into the html output # # for the last entry # ######################################################### $FromDMY=(DateToString($From)) $FromYYYY=Left($FromDMY,4) $FromMM=Extract("Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,May,Jun,Jul,Aug,Sep,Oct,Nov,Dec",",",Val(Substr($FromDMY,5,2))) $FromDD=Right($FromDMY,2) $FromDate=$FromMM+" "+$FromDD+" "+$FromYYYY ########################################################## HTH
  23. ... and is dependant on your current computer date settings. Yes. This refers to changing the date format to dd/mm/yyyy that we tend to use here in the UK. This is set up in the "Regional" options in Windows and ensures that GSAK shows dates in the dd/mm/yyyy format.
